The Cincinnati EyeCare Team doctors are actively involved in the community serving on boards and as members of the American Optometric Association, Ohio Optometric Association, Cincinnati Optometric Association, and The Ohio State University College of Optometry Alumni Association.
They also give back to the community by taking part in Vision USA, Prevent Blindness Ohio, Infantsee, Realeyes School Program, and One Sight (formerly the Gift of Sight).
Dr. Gilbert has been with Cincinnati Eyecare Team since its initiation in 2003. Dr. Gilbert received her Doctor of Optometry degree from The Ohio State University after completing her Bachelor of Science at the University of Saint Francis. She currently serves as a Trustee on the Ohio Optometric Association Board. She has been an active volunteer since 1999 on several committees for the American Optometric Association as well as the state and local associations. She is a past Zone Governor for the Cincinnati Optometric Association. Dr. Gilbert also is a Principle Investigator for Bausch & Lomb, conducting contact lens and contact lens solution studies.
Dr. Gilbert also actively volunteers in the community giving Realeyes presentations to local schools educating children on the importance of eye health and safety. She provides Infantsee exams which are no-cost examinations of infants 6-12 months old. She is also a provider for Vision USA, providing exams to low income patients in need. The Ohio Optometric Association awarded Dr. Gilbert with the “Young Optometrist of the Year” in 2005. She was awarded Cincy Chic’s “Health Woman of the Year” in 2010.
Dr. Gilbert provides comprehensive optometric care including Pediatric Optometry, Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease, Contact Lenses and Corneal Refractive Therapy (CRT).
Dr. Gilbert enjoys fitness, golf, and being a spectator at all sporting events and her children’s activities. She has 3 children, Chase, Charlie, Ava, and her newest addition, Scarlet, a micro goldendoodle.
Dr. Richard Deutch received both his B.S. and M.S. in Biology from The University of Dayton. He graduated form The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 1983. After one year as a clinical instructor at the OSU College of Optometry, he joined Group Health Associates in 1984.
He co-piloted the transition of Group Health Associates Eyecare to Cincinnati EyeCare Team in April, 2003. Dr. Deutch has been a member of the American Optometric Association for over 30 years. He is a member of the Ohio Optometric Association and Cincinnati Optometric Association.
He is a volunteer for Vision USA, InfantSEE, and Realeyes School Programs.
Dr. Deutch enjoys all aspects of optometry, particularly comprehensive examinations, contact lenses, and disease management. Dr. Deutch is currently accepting new patients of all ages in the Clifton and West Chester offices.
Dr. Nuchikat is a graduate of Miami University and the Illinois College of Optometry. He joined Cincinnati EyeCare Team at its inception in April, 2003.
Dr. Nuchikat also sees patients at the Cincinnati Eye Institute, providing post surgical care in conjunction with Dr. Michael Snyder.
He is a member of The American Optometric Association, Ohio Optometric Association, and an active board member of the Cincinnati Optometric Association. Dr. Nuchikat is a volunteer for Vision USA donating his time to provide fee eye examinations to people with financial hardships. He also is a Provider in the InfantSEE Program that gives free eye exams to children up to one year old.
He has also been a member of an international team of physicians providing healthcare in developing nations.
Dr. Nuchikat is currently accepting new patients in the Clifton and West Chester locations.
Dr. Donahue joined Cincinnati Eye Care Team in 2015. She is originally from State College, Pennsylvania and received her B.S. from Penn State University. She then attended The Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University, graduating with high honors. Dr. Donahue underwent an advanced pediatric rotation and has attended many vision screenings for the detection of eye problems in preschoolers. She also participated in a trip to Haiti to help deliver eye care to those in need.
Dr. Donahue recently moved to Cincinnati. In her free time she enjoys yoga, the outoors, spending time with family, and planning her upcoming wedding.
Dr. Donahue is interested in all aspects of primary care optometry. She has special interests in the management of ocular disease (ie. diabetes, macular degeneration, dry eye, glaucoma etc.), pediatric vision, as well as the fitting of a wide variety of contact lenses.
Dr. Donahue provides eye care for patients of all ages and is accepting new patients.
